Pack your bags! United Airlines makes history with the announcement of its first-ever nonstop flight from Denver to Rome, Italy. Starting May 1, travelers can fly directly from the Mile High City to the Eternal City.

The Rome route headlines United’s major expansion at Denver International Airport, which includes seven new domestic and Canadian destinations. The airline is introducing nonstop service to Buffalo, Pensacola, Peoria, North Bend, Regina, Redding, and Wilmington – with four of these routes exclusive to United.

The new international flight from Denver to Rome will operate on a daily Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service through September 24. In the domestic market, United’s new routes feature upgraded aircraft options, with Boeing 737-800s serving Buffalo and Pensacola, and Embraer E175s operating to Peoria and North Bend. These aircraft offer first-class cabins and enhanced legroom seating, setting new standards for comfort on these routes.

This expansion solidifies United’s position as Denver’s leading carrier, offering nonstop flights to more than 160 domestic and 20 international destinations. Notably, United stands as the only U.S. airline providing nonstop service from Denver to Europe, Asia and Hawaii.

The seasonal Rome service complements United’s existing European network from Denver, which includes year-round flights to London and Frankfurt, near-year-round service to Munich, and a seasonal second London frequency. Plus, with the airline’s partnership with Lufthansa Group, Denverites can connect to 120 destinations across the Atlantic.

Beyond Europe, United’s Denver hub serves as a gateway to Asia through daily Tokyo-Narita flights, connecting to ANA’s extensive network. The airline also maintains a strong presence in Latin America and the Caribbean, serving 11 popular destinations including Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras and Jamaica.

This announcement comes months after Turkish Airlines announced last year its first nonstop flight from Denver to Istanbul—both adding to the growing list of non-stop flights from DIA, not just domestically, but internationally.

Tickets for these new flights are available at United Airlines.
